## Caption

While I think these 20 minutes of rejuvenation are important daily and help you to conquer another day, this is not a true break. A break is time alone doing a hobby you love, going to the spa, having a staycation, etc. Lean on your spouse and over communicate your needs before you have a complete meltdown. 

In full transparency, I’m naturally extremely competitive so I would tell myself that I can handle any and everything that would come my way. Crazy thing is, I would do it with a smile on my face. Until things would just come crashing and I would feel an overwhelming feeling of anxiety and stress that would cause me to either get sick or completely break down. Vividly I remember last October-November, keeping Chase at home full time while I was also working and out of nowhere I got a cold, that evolved into my lungs not functioning properly, to bronchitis, to pink eye. It was a hot mess. I was down bad. I carried so much that my body started to break down. 

I say all of this to say, that was a learning experience for both me & Jahmari to over communicate how we are feeling. Check-ins are daily, breaks are often and I have the most energy I’ve ever had in motherhood. That was A LOT. Lol but I say all of this to say, taking a true break is a non-negotiable. You owe it to yourself and your family ❤️
