It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Harry Belafonte, a true legend and icon in the worlds of music, film, and civil rights activism. Belafonte, who passed away at the age of 96, was a trailblazer in every sense of the word, breaking down barriers and paving the way for future generations of artists and activists.

Belafonte’s impact on the entertainment industry cannot be overstated. As a singer and actor, he was a force to be reckoned with. But it was his work as a civil rights activist that truly set him apart. Belafonte was a close friend and confidante of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and he played a key role in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s.
