It may not seem like it - but this IS a time for dreams and innovation. Some of the best companies and leaders started during a recession or the Great Depression. Now is the time to reflect and think of the future. How do you want to shape it? Do you hate your job and want to create one for yourself? Do you want to have a side gig? Do you have dreams you’re usually too busy to start? Is something speaking to you or driving you and you’re not listening? So many people avoid chasing their dreams for fear of failure. But what does that worst-case-scenario really look like and is it truly the end of the world? And - what if it works? What if it’s the best thing you ever did? We have all learned in the last 2 weeks that nothing is forever. The one thing that is constant is CHANGE! I remind my staff of this regularly. It’s a good thing! Change. And dreams. And failure. And risk.
Working through hard times and failure can actually be one of the most transformative experiences and catalysts for personal growth. It may not feel good, but we CAN do it. We are. Right now. Here it is. How do you want your future to look after this? During this? What are you doing to change it? Most people do not know this but I opened aNu with 3 other women almost 10 years ago because I had a vision and dream of doing it and creating a practice of course - but the ultimate drive to take the risk was due to the fact that I had infertility and needed extra income to be able to pay for IVF. In the midst of profound sadness, I decided to make my own boat and sail it how I wanted for my life. I had a job as a primary care physician and an urgent care physician and that still wasn’t enough to pay for it with school loans and everything else so I started a new dream. aNu. It means ‘a new’ you. The lotus flower is the symbol because it means rising from the darkness. So rise. Rise up. Now. It’s the time. The voice has been telling you. Listen to it. There is risk and there is failure. But it IS ok. There is big reward. Be the lotus. Find aNu you. Make the boat you want. Out of darkness comes beauty. #riseup #dreams #bethelotus #anu #anuyou #anume #wellness #maketheboat
