The US Postal Service issued a commemorative "Forever" stamp honoring former President George H.W. Bush. The new stamp was released on what would have been the late President's 95th birthday. The stamp was painted by artist Michael J. Deas and based on a 1997 photograph taken by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders. "Throughout his life, President Bush enjoyed sending handwritten letters to friends, colleagues and family, so it is especially fitting to honor him with his own stamp," chairman of the USPS Board of Governors Robert M. Duncan said.

The USPS officially dedicated the stamp during an event at Bush's presidential library in College Station, Texas, that included members of the 41st President's family. 📲 Link in bio for more 📸: U.S. Postal Service
