We visited one of the most emotional and humbling places I’ve been—Fatehgarh Sahib, the site where the two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh (9 years old) and Sahibzada Fateh Singh (7 years old), were martyred for standing firm in their faith. In 1705, these brave souls were bricked alive after refusing to convert to another religion, leaving behind a legacy of courage and unwavering belief in truth, equality, and justice.

The Sikh faith teaches values of seva (selfless service), equality, compassion, and standing up for what is right, no matter the cost. Being at this sacred place, where their sacrifice became an everlasting symbol of resilience, was an incredibly moving experience. The energy there is indescribable—so strong, pure, and heart-wrenching.

As I stood in the same spot where history unfolded, I felt a wave of emotions I cannot put into words. I was reminded of the incredible strength of those who have come before us and the importance of staying true to your values, no matter how hard the journey.

This visit was not only a history lesson but also a spiritual one—an opportunity to reflect, learn, and feel connected to a deeper sense of humanity. I am so grateful for this experience and for everything I am learning while embracing this beautiful culture and faith.
