“My truth is not the same as yours because we don’t experience life in the same way.”
~Nita Prose, The Maid✨
.
I’m going to be honest, I went into this book expecting a fun, “Clue-like” mystery and did not expect to be moved by all the depth and heart in this wonderful story!✨
.
This is, at the very heart of it, a story about Molly (The Maid) and the way she sees the world. And Molly sees the world differently than most people, and it is her deeply beautiful, honest, and at times heartbreaking assessments of her world that shape this story into a novel you’ll never forget.✨
.
I absolutely loved the end of this book, the way you thought you were entrenched in a Murder Mystery and yet find yourself in a story of chosen family, loyalty, and love.✨
.
I loved Molly’s character and the strength she possessed and I loved the way Nita Prose chose end this book on such a powerful note! The Maid definitely has cozy mystery vibes, but what shines is Molly, and I loved that so much.✨
.
I am so excited that The Maid was picked as gmabookclub ‘s Book Pick for January, and I’m so glad I had the chance to read it.✨
