I used to judge how good my workout was based off how sore I was the next day

I thrived on feeling sore because I thought it meant my muscles were growing

Wrong 😊

Being sore after every workout means you probably need …

- More food
- More focus on sleep & recovery
- Better stress management
- More rest

You’re breaking down your muscles every time you lift, do cardio, workout …

The extreme soreness shows that your body is having a hard time repairing itself

Which leads to no muscle growth, feeling weaker, & possibly even losing muscle

Today, the only time I will feel sore is if I do high volume of an exercise that I’m not used to

Or it’s the week before my period, which I’m still working on managing my workouts better around this time.

It’s not normal to feel sore all of the time

Soreness does not equate to hard work

Chasing feeling sore is probably holding you back from your fitness goals

Take care of yourself - workout smarter, not harder 💪
