Q: Who is your biggest inspiration?
A: My mom has been my biggest inspiration. She works harder than anyone I know and will do anything to reach her goals. On days when I am not motivated, I think of how hard she worked to get me to where I am today. I am grateful for everything she has taught me and has done for me, and she inspires me to be strong and to never give up on my goals.

Q: What surprised you the most playing college volleyball?
A: How well our team worked together and the limited number of conflicts we have as a team. College programs can be hit-or-miss with team chemistry and culture. Playing for Marquette has given me some of my best friends, and as a team, we have played some of the best volleyball in the country because of that.

Q: What are you most proud of in your volleyball career?
A: From a team aspect, I am most proud of how our team came together as a young group after graduating seven seniors. Right off the bat, we competed with confidence and came together as a team to win. Making it to the Sweet 16 with last year's group was beyond amazing. I am proud of how our team day-in, and day-out, competed. Individually, I am most proud of how I responded to having hip surgery. I was very motivated to get back on the court and although it took time to build my confidence back up, I finally have the confidence to play without worrying about my previous injury.

Q: What has been most different for you in the transition from high school volleyball to college?
A: In high school, I was an outside hitter and the transition to a DS/libero role has been the most different in aspects of volleyball. Being able to focus on only defense has made me love and appreciate the essential role good ball control has on the court.
