This trip to Iceland was sooo last minute - booking my flight the day I got home from traveling for months & leaving two weeks later 🧐
—
If you’re planning on visiting Iceland, here are a couple of things to know:
🇮🇸 if you’re fully vaccinated and can show proof with your vaccine card, you don’t need an additional negative test to enter. After baggage claim, you will need to take a PCR test (offered at the airport) and quarantine until you receive your results. My results came back in 6 hours.
🇮🇸 you will need to fill out an online form claiming your negative status (24 hours before landing) at visit.covid.is. You will receive a bar code via email that will be scanned at the airport. 
🇮🇸 bring a thick winter jacket no matter what time of year you visit because the weather changes constantly. It’ll be hot in one area but drive 5 minutes away, and it’ll be rainy and windy.
🇮🇸 bring a reusable water bottle. Iceland is the most eco-friendly country I’ve been to & they’re all about keeping the environment clean! There are even some places that will give you discounts if you bring your own plates & bowls.
🇮🇸 Iceland is not a budget friendly travel destination. Because so much goods & services is imported, prices are astronomical (gas is ~$7.50USD per gallon).
