The Boilermakers come in on a 3 game winning streak trying to be the first team to beat the Huskers this season. Nebraska has swept 8 matches in a row, 15 on total in the season. The Cornhuskers are the last team undefeated in D1 Volleyball. As a result, they were voted the unanimous No. 1 team in the AVCA Top 25 poll for the first time this season. They have been No. 1 in every poll.

Nebraska holds a 26-8 lead in the series against Purdue, with the Boilermakers last win coming in 2019.
