Jake Paul returns to the boxing ring Friday to take on seasoned veteran Andre August in an eight-round main event. I attended the press conference. Enjoy my report on their press conference and first official face-off! I'll be covering the events all week. Subscribe to stay updated

The main Paul vs. August fight card is set for Friday 7:30 p.m. ET from the Caribe Royale in Orlando and will be anchored by this cruiserweight showdown. Shadasia Green vs. Franchón Crews-Dezurn press conference: https://youtu.be/xiZflsfcK24

Paul, the polarizing social media savant turned professional boxer, will be fighting for the third time in 2023. This will be his first fight against an opponent who is solely known as a boxing professional. He is 7-1 with 4 KOs.

In February, Paul lost a split decision to Tommy Fury, who is a professional boxer but also known for his popularity on social media and reality television.

In August, Paul won by unanimous decision over MMA Fighter Nate Diaz in his first professional boxing match.

August is a 10-year pro whose last performance resulted in a unanimous decision victory over Brandon Martin in August. He 35 year old 10-1- with 5 kos. Andre last fought in August. Before that, he hadn’t fought professionally since 2018.

August is a punches in bunches boxer which is a change from the now volume output of Paul’s previous opponents.

Paul is a -650 favorite. August is priced at +410 per draft kings. The over/under for total rounds completed is 7.5 with the Over priced at -200 and the Under listed at +160.
