I did a thing I thought I would never do, I ran a half marathon: the San Diego Beach and Bay Half Marathon! My friends and I did it in honor of our friends Alice Read and Josh Johnson who passed away in Nov 2021 due to being hit by a drunk driver. Enjoy this San Diego Beach and Bay Half Marathon Vlog: Training + Race where I take you from 6 months of training + dealing with grief + the accomplishment of completing the race!

See me talk about it the incident and dealing with grief in my podcast here:
Being Grateful and Dealing with Grief | Leap of Fate Pod 75: https://youtu.be/jKdEUVVlIIE

For this vlog, I take you through 6 months of training for the San Diego Beach to Bay Half Marathon. I had never run more than 6-7 miles at one time in my life so this was really something I had to mentally and physically train for.

I take you through my progress with vlog series of my training, recovery, going over my Strava reports, proper preparation, and of course, race day! I did some of my training in my digital nomad travels so you'll get to see me train in Miami and Puerto Rico!

All in all, it was an amazing mental and physical experience that I truly had mamba mentality. I am so proud of myself for accomplishing my goal of running the half marathon and all the effort I put into preparing for it.

This was an emotional vlog I made, especially going through the videos and reliving them. I speak from the heart, soul, and love. RIP Alice and Josh. This video is for you, in memory of you, and my way of coping with the grieving process.
