It’s #WorldHepatitisDay
We’ve only got one life, and we’ve only got one liver. Hepatitis can devastate both.

Our livers silently perform over 500 vital functions every single day to keep us alive.

But viral hepatitis infection is also silent, with symptoms only appearing once the disease is advanced. There are 8,000 new hepatitis B and C infections every day, and most are going undetected. 

The result? Over one million hepatitis deaths every single year – and over five new infections every minute. 

That’s why liver health is fundamental to human health. And why, together, we should thank our livers for their hard work: end hepatitis by expanding access to testing and treatment.
