SIZE MATTERS — measured in nanometers (nm) — that’s a billionth of a meter!

• Cutting-edge chips use 3–5 nm nodes, meaning the features (gates, channels) are just a few atoms wide.
• But “3 nm” is a marketing/node name more than a literal measurement — the physical transistor has multiple layers and parts.
• Scientists have even built single-molecule transistors as proofs of concept (not used in phones yet).

Why does size matter?
Smaller transistors = more transistors per chip → more computing power + lower energy use (if done right).

⏱️ Test your guess:
In comments, tell me — is a transistor closer in size to:
	•	(A) a red blood cell (~7 µm)
	•	(B) a virus (~100 nm)
	•	(C) a DNA double-helix (~2 nm)
