Sometimes it’s the little things that make a logo. 

The nationalforesttrek is a three-day fundraising challenge event through the National Forest, UK. It revolves around building hope for the future, whilst ensuring that those who have served the public in the armed forces are never forgotten. 

I designed their logo to include a compass pointing East to West (the route that the trek takes across the forest). I added a silhouette of a truly British tree (to represent remembrance) over a sunrise/sunset (to represent hope, plus the event would span over multiple evenings and mornings). I then captured the nature theme by wrapping the whole thing into a Boy Scout style badge.
