## Caption

sixsquareatx preserves and celebrates the historic legacy of the African American community that once thrived in East Austin, including the legendary Victory Grill. “The Six Square area was built on adversity, rejection, and inequality. When that occurs, people have two choices: you either fold and don’t survive, or you thrive.

Please imagine if you will...a small but mighty team trying to navigate the way forward on the enormous amount of requests we are getting for support and help. Standing in the middle of our fears and grief; refusing to give up hope, but overwhelmed. Tears fall: release tears, happy tears, joyful tears. It’s beyond quiet.

Then someone says, ‘maybe they are listening’.” This Wednesday, June 10 we will support Six Square and all atxcommunityfdn beneficiaries during the A Night For Austin broadcast. To donate, visit anightforaustin.com/donate
