🇩🇪🇫🇷🇪🇸 O’Connell goes global! Earlier this month, DJO students participated in our Cultural Exchange programs.

A group of DJO students hosted German Exchange students from @pius_gymnasium_official). We warmly welcomed them to O’Connell with a reception and pumpkin carving after they spent a day experiencing American student life. The DJO student hosts and our visitors also learned about American history and government while visiting Philadelphia and spending a day in Washington, D.C.

Students traveled abroad to Reims, France to study at St. Jean XXIII (@jean23reims) and live with their French families. The strong friendships that began last year when they welcomed these French students to O’Connell, were solidified through classes together at school, outings to the Reims Cathedral and St. Remi Basilica, where they learned about the culture and history. An educational trip to Paris was a highlight of the trip!

The wonderful students of Colegio SIL (@colegiosilbcn) hosted DJO students in Barcelona, Spain. Students immersed themselves in the Spanish culture, attended classes with their hosts, and visited beautiful sights of Barcelona, including the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia.
