Bud Selig quoted, "I watched 32 years ago, the Kansas City A's moved to Oakland. They hurt the Giants badly. They never really did very well themselves. It was a horrible mistake. As an old history major, I'm not likely to repeat mistakes in the past. However, every area stands at its own two-feet." This did not age well 24 years later. Alot in that quote means true today in 2025. They hurt the Giants badly", when it comes for the A's moving to Sacramento for 3 seasons with the Triple-A affiliate of the Giants, how can they develop for the big leagues on grass that will play 180 games straight throughout 2025? "Horrible mistake", we know how the Oakland fan base feels about that with MLB and it's Athletics owner, back then when the sale happened, it was through Selig's for his frat buddy Lew Wolff and try to move them out of Oakland to wherever that's not Oakland. The minority owner until Lew gave up his control is John Fisher. Won 4 world series in Oakland, attendance was phenomenal during their years because of how good the team was. Purposely deposing players contracts (fire sale) to other teams. You make your interpretation on these comments from Selig. #sell #fjf #athletics #oakland #baseball #MLB #sportsstadiums #ballpark #selltheteam #MLB
