Ready for a geek-out session? 👓

Height Velocity Test
Shooting a ¼ inch steel pellet at 20 different impact points at a speed of 165 km/hr (102 mph). To pass this, the “eye” on the head form can not touch the lens in any way, so again the lenses cannot shatter, detach, or warp excessively.

High Mass Test
Dropping a 500-gram pointed weight from a height of about 1.3 meters(4.3 feet) onto lenses that are mounted on a head form. To pass this lens-retention test, no pieces from the frames or lenses may break free or fracture.

All Hyspecs are ANSI Z87+ rated. This means they had gone through a strict set of tests on coverage, light transmissivity, and impact (the fun part). And all tests were conducted by an independent testing agency.

The “+” marking means Hyspecs meets a higher impact standard and a much tougher 💪 set of tests than Z87.

You will see Z87+ markings on all Hyspecs offering you that peace of mind while looking stylish. You might wonder: how can something good for you also make you feel so gooood?
