Rugby has in the past struggle to be attractive to state schools, girls schools and to those who don't see it as a sport for them because they thinknits top aggressive, to dangerous, only for rich school boys or maybe they deem themselves too small, too big, to slow, not sporty, too delicate or any number of traits that you use to tall yourself out of it. 

Let me tell you. Rugby NEEDS you, rugby only grows with you. We need as many people playing and being involved with rugby as possible. Because you can be involved in rugby and not be a player. 

Touch 2 Twickenham has been revolutionary in getting the non rugby schools into our wonderful sport. It's a non-contact touch, mixed gender version with simplified rules, and encourages plenty of running rugby. 

I took part in my local Kent event where over half the players had never played rugby before, and plenty of the PE teachers had never been involved in rugby either. The highlight of the day for me came towards the end when the scoring games finished early, and the students were told there was still time for non scoring games if they wanted it. And the cheer that game for being allowed to continue playing... pure joy. 

What I want to know is, who got you involved, and what has rugby done for you?
