Man. No idea what came over me yesterday. Haven't climbed in nearly 6 months and with day 1 being our warm up day, I woke up on day 2 (Saturday) oddly confident and eager to jump on the walls. I started off leading a slabby 5.8 to get the arms loose when Meagan and I jumped on a 5.10+ nearby. We both failed to even clip the first bolt on a lead

Suspending my finger tips on two, shallow crimps and feet on two little lips I took a deep breath, trusted my foot and jammed it on a shallow sloper and pushed myself up and clipped into the first bolt. I yelled from excitement and then sailed up the rest of the route, following a shallow vein and little nubs up the slab to keep my foot placement. When I got back down, fellow climbers gave me a celebratory beer and the bar was set for the rest of the day.

Meagan and I went back over to Wall Street where I flew up a 5.9+ full of all sorts of twists, turns, and slopes without any falls or breaks! Then we went over to a 5.9 slab where there was literally nothing to hold on to but super shallow crimps again to the point where the only thing to hold my balance were the tips of my fingers under my finger nails and trusting every little nub I could find to hoist myself up to clip into the next bolts. This trip was such a massive confidence boost and instead of my arms being pumped from wrong technique my abs and legs are the ones sore. I spent so much time Lazer focused on my feet placement and so proud of how well we did this trip. That was by far the most leading I've done and the most confident I have ever been on a wall
