I've talked with a lot of different folks in Mexico Beach. All of which have incredible survival stories. Gail sits to take a break as she and her husband continue picking up the pieces of their used to be home. Believe it or not, their home is crushed under another home pictured here and were floated nearly a block away from where they once stood. Gail and her husband Doyle lived below Steve. An Illinois native who retired and owns multiple properties in the area where he stayed until Michael was upgraded to a category 4. This is when he fled inland and had he not, I likely wouldn't have spoken to him yesterday as the only thing left is a slab. 
Steve also went on to tell me about how he lived only a few miles from the infamous Plainfield, Illinois tornado. You chasers will remember that one and he describe the damage here as similar to what he saw back then in Illinois. They were however in good spirits and were optimistic about rebuilding as they continue to pluck away at finding belongings underneath all the rubble.
