What an absolute AVALANCHE of an autumn it's been.

As some of you know from following my YouTube channel, I moved back across the country unexpectedly and have lost my expected funding source -- which really put a damper on my "Full Time Game Dev" dreams. Uhhhh, so anyway, I moved. And I got really lucky and I acquired a place to live really fast!

...And then my rabbit got a liver lobe torsion and almost died. So I spent a week nursing my poor, baby boy back to health and somehow, miraculously, he didn't die. Thank God. I love him, he's so good, (and you can find him in Bunny Town in the game!)

And all this meant I had forgotten to submit my game to Next Fest (which begins this Monday, October 19th!) and I had to beg Steam-senpai to let me in anyway.

And they did.

So I went "Great! Let's put together a build and a trailer..."

And then, without disclosing too much, someone got REALLY sick in the middle of making the trailer. And it wasn't the rabbit this time. And so that got delayed.

But I finally submitted my build. And Steam reviewed it REALLY fast and it WOULD have been ready in time for the Press Preview...

...except, Steam (quite reasonably) read the Content Warnings in the game and said, "Can you show us those parts of the game?"

And the answer was... No. I can't. Many of those things are NOT IN THE GAME yet. But I felt it was really important to tell YOU ALL, my darling parasocialites, what sort of content warnings are in the full game -- so if you have anything you are sensitive about or even just, prefer to avoid, you can! And then, Steam had to go through and verify that this was, in fact, the case.

However, right before big game festivals like Next Fest, they are absolutely swamped.

And so I was sitting here, Friday night, going, "Man, I'm gonna have to pull out of Next Fest and try the next one. There's no way I'm gonna make this..."

And then I did.

So big THANK YOU to everyone on the Steam team (probably especially Xavier, who was apparently my Steam-guy) for saving me from myself this autumn. And thank you to all the people who emergency playtested. Could not do this without you!
