Sobia is one of our many colleagues helping us to advance the SDGs. In the run-up to the WBCSD Leading Women Awards, we are featuring women at Nestlé who are making a meaningful contribution to the SDGs.

Sobia has been involved in the agriculture and dairy sector while at Nestlé Pakistan for over 12 years. She has devised or been involved in a very broad range of sustainability initiatives. Water conservation, poverty alleviation, women empowerment, climate action, hunger eradication – those are just some of the topics she has worked across.  Sobia has helped train more than 3,000 rural women in Pakistan in providing  first aid to sick animals in communities where veterinarians are few and far between – driving acceptance of women in the dairy and livestock sector, and empowering them financially.
