When Nestea was first invented in 1947, it had to be dissolved in hot water. 9 years later, due to innovative technical developments in the development process, it could also be dissolved in cold water. A further important step in the development of the brand took place in 1964 with the launch of Nestea Iced Tea Mix 🏖. This lead to Nestea increasingly evolving from a tea product to more of a soft drink.
