This was not the birth I prayed for.
If I’m being honest, it was the complete opposite. But it was exactly what God knew I needed.
See God was showing me that he would never leave me. Even in my suffering, He would be right there with me. That He would sustain me when I didn’t think I could make it through. And that He would bring me to the other side and that side would be better than anything I could imagine.
I was disappointed, I was frustrated, I was almost angry at the pain I was going through. Thinking back on this moment, I can still physically feel the pain I was in.. This was the first time during a birth, that I truly believed I couldn’t do it. But I did, and that’s all God 👏🏻 
He never left my side 🙌🏽
He protected us and guided us and truly taught me what it means to be His child. 
This birth was a catalyst in my walk with Yahweh. It brought me to my knees in a way I haven’t been brought down to in 14yrs. 
I felt every thing, I felt as though I was being torn apart from the inside. And I don’t say that to scare anyone, I say that because that’s my truth. 
Maybe one day I will share the images of me screaming. But for now, I want to rest in the beauty that is being brought through something that is breaking you at your core.. But God! He showed me I can. He showed me He’s holding my hand.
I’m thankful for every moment of this birth. I’m thankful that God didn’t allow it to last any longer than 15 minutes. 
And I’m thankful that I can truly say God knows exactly what needs to be done to break you, so He can fix you in the ways you need to be made whole.
