I get the messages/comments often “I want to be like you when I become a mom” and while I appreciate the kind words soo much, I’m so far from perfect, I actually have a lot of things I am working on and need to do better at.. But for the things that I am doing okay at, I wanted to give you guys this small list so you know the way I do my best to parent:
• Jesus first, always. I teach my kids that if they always seek Jesus, they will always know where they are supposed to go, and what they are supposed to do.
• It’s okay to be different. I encourage my kids to look and be different. We raise them to have more respect then the average child (it doesn’t always work, but we try!) We discipline them when they aren’t respectful, and we expect more from them then most children their age. 
•Everyone helps. No one is too young, everyone is taught to clean, cook, and care for those around them. The goal is that when they become husbands/wives, it won’t be new for them to serve. 
• No social media.  We run their social medias, they actually don’t even have phones yet, and one of us has to be around if they are looking at a phone. 
• Be your own boss. Yes, I said it 😬 We are teaching them not to work for anyone else and not to fall into the system that’s been set up, UNLESS God calls them into that.
• Lastly, and this is huge. I teach them the power in their tongue (something I’m working on as well) we teach life and death in the tongue and just how powerful the Name of Yahweh is. It’s always an opportunity to bring it into the convo, weather it’s someone’s fear, or someone being mean with their words.. I want them to always know the power in their words and the power in the name of Jesus.
