I’ve always held the mindset that my husband was supposed to smile and tell everyone 
“happy wife, happy life.”
That literally never happened! 
It was quite the opposite. 
Dominique would tell me that he wasn’t going to be some yes man in this marriage and he was going to tell me how he feels about pretty much everything. Over time I learned to hold a great amount of respect to be married to a man who provides me with honesty and doesn’t look over the problems in our marriage or within me. But instead he loves me despite them, while still addressing them. 
I used to beg and pray and plead for him to love me like Jesus wondering why he wouldn’t?! And then one day I realized, that’s exactly what he’s doing!!!
He’s loving me, being honest with, giving me a ridiculous amount of grace for the things I do, apologize for, (and then do again 🤦🏼‍♀️).
This man who used to say he’s a good dad, but doesn’t know how to be a husband.. Is actually one of the best husbands around!
Because he’s here, he’s trying, he hasn’t stopped loving me, and he holds no plan b. 
This is FOR LIFE!
Though we’re not perfect, there’s something to be said about a marriage that acknowledges it’s flaws and chooses to keep going everyday. To keep being selfless towards our spouse, to forgive when their is no apology. So have a mindset that says:

“I want to love my spouse like Jesus loves me”

Wherever your at in your marriage, we’ve most likely been there.. you’re not alone and it’s not the end. Flip the script and view yourself as the problem for a few days and see how much things change. Even when your spouse is in the wrong, choosing to get the log out of your eye first, can start moving mountains you didn’t even know were there there 🤍
