At the 2023 Commencement Ceremony, Tayler Daniels L’23 presented the Harvey Levin Award for Teaching Excellence to Sophia Lee, Incoming Dean; Professor of Law and History. LLM Class Officer Errel Peli LLM’23 presented the LLM Prize for Teaching Excellence to William Ewald, Professor of Law and Philosophy; Co-Director of the Institute of Law and Philosophy.

The full awardees of teaching awards for the 2022-23 academic year include:

▪️Incoming Dean and Professor of Law and History Sophia Z. Lee received the Harvey Levin Memorial Teaching Award, selected by vote of the JD Class of 2023 (before her selection as dean was announced).
▪️Legal Practice Skills Senior Lecturer Matthew Duncan L’03 received the Experiential Teaching Award for his work teaching Legal Practice Skills.
▪️Professor of Law and Philosophy and Co-Director of the Institute of Law and Philosophy Bill Ewald received the LLM Teaching Award, selected by vote of the LLM Class of 2023.
▪️Professor of Law Jean Galbraith received the Robert A. Gorman Award for Excellence in Teaching for her outstanding teaching of “Federal Courts.”
▪️Professor of Law Jasmine E. Harris received the A. Leo Levin Award for Excellence in her “Access to Justice” course taught this spring.
▪️Visiting Associate Professor Andrea Tosato received the Adjunct Teaching Award for his work teaching “Blockchain in the Law” and “Consumer Finance.”
