Acuff continues to show glimpses of what the future may hold in Sacramento.

From All-American at Arkansas to the 7th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, Darius Acuff Jr. has arrived in Sacramento with high expectations — and he’s already beginning to meet them. The young Kings may be searching for consistency as a team, but their rookie guard is steadily finding his footing.

In his last three outings Acuff has posted 19/3/5, 22/3/7, and 33/2/4. Tonight, 34 points, 6 boards, and 13 assists. The scoring bursts, the willingness to take (and make) tough shots, and the growing playmaking vision all point to a player with genuine star upside.

Even with the team’s early struggles, Acuff’s elite shot creation and court vision are impossible to ignore. Sacramento has found its next franchise player, and the best is still ahead.
