today, we walked not just in remembrance, but in solidarity. because no family should have to fight to have their loved one’s name heard, and no community should ever have to wonder whether their voices matter.

there is power in unity, power in speaking up, and power in refusing to let someone’s story be forgotten.

today, the Virginia State University community showed what it means to stand together. may we never become so comfortable that we stop caring, speaking up, and showing up for one another.
