Liquefied “natural” gas (LNG), also known as “methane gas,” or “fossil gas” is BOOMING and it’s a threat to our climate and communities. ⁣

A new report from Greenpeacefr reveals that, despite promising fossil fuel phaseouts, European countries, led by France, bought record amounts of gas from the US in 2022, fuelling climate injustice in the American Gulf Coast and climate change worldwide.⁣
⁣
This is unacceptable. The US and Europe must stop approving new gas projects, and initiate the global phase-out of fossil fuels necessary for a livable future.⁣
