Hollywood Cemetery is a big beautiful place, so do your research BEFORE you go!

It’s located on the banks of the James River and it’s 135 acres. Yes that’s right! So have a plan of what you want to see before you go.

Recommended Must See List 

📌 Presidents Circle 
- 2 US Presidents reside here: Monroe and Tyler And this is where you will find the beautiful cherry trees seen in the video

📌 James River & Richmond City Views
- the river can be seen from many spots but the best views can be seen from President’s  Circle and the Palmer Chapel Mausoleum 

📌 The Iron Dog
- one of the most well known monuments here is a cast iron Newfoundland dog who guards over the grave of a little girl who died in 1862

Paper Maps are available for $1 at the Cemetary office or you can find maps online. 

It really is a super special place to walk around. And just to note. It’s not flat! There are lots of hills if you’re looking to get your steps in or get some exercise.
