🥾This local favorite can be a bit tricky to find as it’s behind the Richmond Flood Wall. And it’s more of a short adventurous walk than an actual hike. But you can combine it with many other trails in the area for a longer trek if you want.

🥾 .5 out and back or make it a loop coming back via Browns Island & the Canal Walk
🔹 rated as easy; there is a ladder to climb 
⚠️ there is no railing the second half. Use caution. Beware: high river levels sometimes covers the pipe and this prevents you from getting to the end. 

💰 FREE parking behind the floodwall but there’s only 5-6 spots back there. But there’s plenty of paid parking on the other side of the floodwall on Virginia St
🚗 take 14th St to E Canal St to Virginia St. You can also park for FREE at the Belle Isle Trailhead across from Trenegar Iron works and access it from Browns Island from the opposite end
