One of the cities where officials are working to raise that number is Bogotá, Colombia, which is home to one of the largest fleets of electric buses outside of China. There are nearly 500 Chinese-made electric buses on the streets of Bogotá, with plans to buy another 1,000 by 2022.⁠⁠
