I remember when I was little and I used to ask my mom what she wanted for her bday. She always said for “you and your brothers and sister to be happy.” I used to get SO annoyed bc it made buying her a present so hard lol. But I’m married with kids of my own…and I get it now. Whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing, my happiness is tethered to that of my husband’s and my kids’. Im happiest when they’re happy. So yesterday we went to one of our favorite places and had a chaotic dinner with the kids and I went to bed with my ❤️ (and my belly with burger) full.
