CELEBRATING OUR SENIORS

Kierstyn Barton, OH, #COV18Platinum

🔹What has playing at Club One meant to you?
“Even though I haven’t been at Club One for a long time, I do think that the club has treated me like their own ever since I wanted to come here.”

🔹What advice would you give younger players about being a good teammate?
“Always be someone that listens to others and makes other feel like they are being loved by you. Being joyful and willing to give it your all all the time on and off the court shows your character.”

🔹What are you looking forward to after high school?
“I look forward to college indoor and beach volleyball. I hope to do well and continue my career in the AVP and become a pro someday. I also hope to start my own architecture business and be well known globally.”

In her senior year at Corona del Sol HS, Kierstyn and the Aztecs won the 6A State Championship. Kierstyn was named to the 6A All-Conference 1st Team, as well as 6A Central Region Player of the Year, and she also received 6A All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition. On the club side, Kierstyn and the 18Platinum squad placed first at both the AZ 18s NQ and the Red Rock Rave NQ, double-qualifying for USAV Nationals. Kierstyn will continue her athletic and academic career at the University of Washington.
