CELEBRATING OUR SENIORS

Natalie Mantini, MB, #COV18Platinum

🔹What has playing at Club One meant to you?
“Playing at Club One has pushed me to my potential. Coming into this club 3 years ago being put on the 17's team as a 16 year old threw me into a different level of play and intensity. Kelsey helped guide me through this year to become the player I am today and I was lucky to have her again the next year. Larisa and Dave have always been supportive of me and treated me like part of their family. Last year they gave me the opportunity to coach the 13's. This gave me a new perspective of the game and allowed me to better understand certain aspects of it. From being a jv player to a starting state champion and collegiate athlete, I would like to thank Club One for these past three years, helping me become the player and person I am today.“

🔹Share a volleyball memory that still makes you laugh to this day!
“I think this was last year, but a core memory I have that I'm sure Geoff won't let me forget was at one travel tournament, I lost my shoe and threw it off the court and kept playing. I actually used that clip in my highlight videos to send to colleges, it will always make me laugh. If you watch the clip you can hear Geoff's laugh in it.”

🔹What is one of your proudest moments from high school?
“Being a state champion. I never would have dreamt of being on a team that won the state championship let alone playing the entire game.”

In her senior year at Corona del Sol HS, Natalie and the Aztecs won the 6A State Championship. She also received 6A Central Region Honorable Mention and 6A All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition. On the club side, Natalie and the 18Platinum squad placed first at both the AZ 18s NQ and the Red Rock Rave NQ, double-qualifying for USAV Nationals. Natalie will continue her athletic and academic career at Walsh University.
