CELEBRATING OUR SENIORS

Mia Alexander, L/DS, #COV18Platinum

🔹What has playing at Club One meant to you?
“Club One has been a family to me. The coaches and girls I've played with shaped me into the athlete I am today. Through Club One, I've learned what it means to compete at the next level and to compete as a TEAM.”

🔹What has volleyball taught you?
“Volleyball has taught me teamwork. The sport has shown me that life is built on relationships. The complexity of volleyball as a sport-players interacting on a court for a common goal-has helped me to understand how to thrive outside of the court with other people."

🔹How have you grown from freshman year to now?
“Literally-I've grown two inches. Not a lot, sadly. As a player, I've learned to be more aggressive defensively, and to be a presence on the court. I've learned what it means to compete and have grown a hunger for competition."

In her senior year at Campo Verde HS, Mia was named to the 5A San Tan All-Region 2nd Team and the 4A-5A All-Academic 1st Team. On the club side, Mia and the 18Platinum squad placed first at both the AZ 18s NQ and the Red Rock Rave NQ, double-qualifying for USAV Nationals. Mia will continue her athletic and academic career at Shorter University.
