Sean Carter had worked in lots of colors during his time at an interior design firm Sapphire Pear in Rocky River. But nothing had prepared him for what his husband-and-wife clients wanted in the primary-suite bath of their midcentury Rocky River Cape Cod.

“Some people say they love color, but it’s always a question of, 'Well, how much color do you actually like?'” he says. “For them, it was just, like, the sky’s the limit. There were no boundaries.”
