CITIUS MAG | Running + Track and Field News on Instagram: "“The younger me would definitely be a fan of who I am today. I’ve been through so much and persevered…I know I still have more in me. Being able to keep fighting despite what you’re going through.” – @charlene800

In 2017, Charlene Lipsey finished seventh in the 800m World Championship final. Her 1:57.38 personal best puts her among the best U.S. 800m runners in history. Injuries, coaching changes and setbacks led to her not racing from 2018 to 2021.

Since joining the @missionrun_balt800 squad and working under coach Tom Brumlik, she’s seen a resurgence and clocked a season’s best of 1:59.26 heading into the 2023 USA Championships. She’s back and ready to run faster.

Catch her in the first round of the women’s 800m on Thursday, July 6 at 6:18 p.m. ET.
