If there is one guy that I could ensure the Packers try to acquire in free agency, it’s Giants 3x Pro Bowl SS Landon Collins. Obviously, Collins is one the premier safeties in the league by anyone’s standards at only 25 years old. After the departure of Morgan Burnett and Haha Clinton-Dix, the Packers have a massive hole in the secondary that needs to be filled. Not only could Landon Collins immediately fill this hole, but he would be able to stick around for a while unlike many other impending free agents. But that’s not why he’s my top priority in free agency. In my opinion, this year’s draft class is tremendously more equipped with top-tier pass rushers in comparison to safeties. Even if we don’t acquire a pass rusher in free agency, we’ll have more than enough opportunities to get one in the draft. I don’t feel this way about the safety position at all. I personally don’t think there are any elite safeties who could make an immediate impact in this draft class. This is includes Alabama’s Deionte Thompson who I know many of you are high on. Signing Collins would also allow the Packers to shift their focus to other areas of need. This is why this signing would be so huge. If got Collins in free agency I think we’d have enough ammunition to completely turn our defense around. I know this signing would be expensive, but the Packers do have a bit of wiggle room when it comes to cap space. Do you think the Packers should try to bring Landon Collins to Green Bay? #Packers #GoPackGo #Packerscoverage #LandonCollins
