Massive props to artist nickcaveart and to visionary gallerist jackshainman - one of the very first art dealers - in the late 1980s - to start championing Black artists. He built a powerful program without ever mentioning the demographics of what he was showing. First to show kerryjamesmarshall_ and #BarkleyHendricks and #ElAnatsui
shares ninachanel along with many others.  He started his gallery in the East Village. I often say to him “Who knew it would be you?” 
He has now officially opened a gigantic new space on Lafayette Street in TriBeCa. 

Never count anyone out in the art world.
