## Caption

America wasn’t built by one person or one community. It was shaped by generations of people whose labor and resilience helped build the nation we know today.

From enslaved Black Americans to Chinese railroad workers to immigrant laborers and farmworkers, many communities' contributions are woven into our country’s history.

As we reflect on 250 years of America, we’re recognizing those whose work built this nation, even when they were denied many of its promises.
