The truth about our history matters, and communities deserve the right to decide what — and who — they honor.

For the fourth year in a row, the #Florida Legislature tried to force communities to keep Confederate monuments in place, even when residents want them removed. 

Those efforts, part of a broader push to reshape the story of the Confederacy, failed again in 2026 with help from the SPLC.
