This man began his career as a songwriter over 50 years ago, penning songs for Martha & The Vandellas, The Isley Brothers, The Righteous Brothers, Ike & Tina Turner, Nancy Wilson, Bobby Womack, Jackson 5ive, Isaac Hayes, Donny Hathaway, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Quincy Jones, Minnie Ripierton, Average White Band & Marvin Gaye. Mind you? This is a short list. He was a record producer as well, from his own solo albums to Marvin Gaye's groundbreaking opus "I Want You" to Syreeta up through working with Loose Ends, Mica Paris, Omar Lye-Fook & Maxwell. We lost another legend, folks. His music, influence and legacy will live on forever. Rest easy, Mr. Leon Ware. There's gonna be one Hell of a concert in Heaven tonight, lemme tell ya...
