I remember the moment vividly. I was sitting on this very couch in Derek’s apartment nine years ago when I looked up a recipe for something I wanted to make. A crustless quiche for us to eat after we’d taken our engagement photos. I was on fortheloveofcooking.net (4loveofcooking) and they had mentioned egglandsbest eggs. I couldn’t even tell you if that post was actually sponsored, but I looked over at Derek and said, “I think this person makes money blogging! I’m totally going to do that!” And for the next nine years he’s put up with me climbing up on furniture to get the right shot of our food, or put up with my need to take pictures of every little thing big or small. He’s sat next to me during long nights of editing photos, writing articles, and sharing my heart. He’s seen me go through that exact process 1,298 times in the last nine years. He never once told me to stop, or that it was stupid. He’s been the number one supporter the last nine years and I could never thank him enough for that. Next to Derek though, I can never thank each of you enough. Thank you for being here, showing up, and supporting our family. Getting to stay home and be with my kids, and still provide for my family is an absolute dream.
