WE TRIED E-STIM 😱 “E-stim sends mild electrical pulses through the skin to help stimulate injured muscles or manipulate nerves to reduce pain.

E-stim may not be appropriate for everyone, but for many people this painless procedure is accelerating recovery and providing relief from painful or uncomfortable symptoms.” Yesterday we hooked up these little electrodes to Kinsley’s legs, wrapped them up, and watched her walk without leg braces on. It was amazing 🤩 When she had her SDR eval last week, they tried to get her to use her walker without her leg braces and her heels were off the ground, by at least 45 degrees, her knees were bent, and she was in so much pain she could hardly take any steps. 
After being hooked up to this e-stim machine, her feet were flatter than when she has her braces on, and there was no pain and screaming. It was a small glimpse into what her legs could really look like post surgery. 
So excited to work with this more in therapy, but also excited for this to be our actual reality some day 🙏🏻 .
