## Caption

The first week of October  during general conference weekend, Em started throwing up spontaneously without a virus and we brushed it under the rug. Then it happened again a few weeks later, and we brushed it under the rug. Finally on Wednesday she spontaneously threw up again and this nagging feeling that she had a blockage in her intestines would not go away. I had that feeling for weeks and didn’t do anything. Finally on Wednesday I called the doctor who saw her that day and she had impacted stool going 20 ft through her entire intestinal track. There was literally no more room for any food to go inside her. After unsuccessfully doing a “clean out” at home, we were admitted to the hospital where they placed an NG tube in her nose and ran several gallons of miralax through her system to get her cleared out. It was seriously the saddest night ever. If you’ve never seen a nurse try to place an NG tube in your screaming child, consider yourself lucky because it was the saddest thing ever 💔 Luckily after the first night Em was doing much better and we got to go home after 26 hours as opposed to the original 3 days they’d told us it would take. We’re grateful to be home, and hoping we can avoid having to do this in the future. I’m grateful that Heavenly Father is still blessing this little girl with good health. There were times last week when I was convinced that this was going to be it. I’m grateful this little girl is home, happy, and laughing today. We love her so much.
