Rainbow season has officially started! Come out and play ✨

Last night, many northern Vermonters were treated to our first double rainbow of the season. Summer storms in Vermont usually end with massive rainbows that fill entire valleys. If we’re lucky, a vibrant pink sunset happens at the same time. Just another reason I love this state so much! 

😍 I caught this baby from my kitchen window, which is secretly my favorite rainbow spot. Before I bought my little haven 3 years ago, a rainbow appeared over the property during the showing. It was the sign I needed to make this my home and I’ve been watching beautiful rainbows here since! 

This summer, I’m determined to show more spontaneous moments of joy. Most social media content has become highly curated. I want this corner of the internet to reflect Vermont’s unscripted beauty, from weeknight double rainbows to butterflies dancing in the wind. 

🌈 Yesterday was my parents’ anniversary, the first one without my mom’s parents. My grandpa always used to play Over The Rainbow on his piano, and as Alzheimer’s crept in, this melody became one of the only things he could remember. He played it by memory over and over again, and his music is now etched in our hearts forever. 

For me, rainbows are signs that my loved ones are close by. They’re messages of peace and hope that make me pause and feel grateful. Rainbows are symbols of love in all forms. Let’s spread love today and all days!
